Texas Daily – Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Texas Daily does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or precise location, and does not require account registration.

The App may collect limited, non-personal data for:

• Analytics: to understand app performance and improve the user experience.
• Advertising: the App may display ads via Google AdMob. Ad providers may collect device identifiers or coarse usage data as governed by their own privacy policies.

Local preferences such as your selected fact categories, daily reminder time, and appearance theme are stored entirely on your device using Apple’s standard storage. This information is never transmitted to Copano Studios or any third party.

2. How Information Is Used

• To improve stability, performance, and app experience
• To support free access through advertising
• To deliver your optional daily reminder notification at the time you choose

3. Information We Do Not Collect

• No account registration or login
• No personal contact information
• No precise location
• No Criminal Justice Information (CJI)

4. Push Notifications

Texas Daily includes an optional daily reminder that delivers a Texas fact at a time you choose. This feature requires notification permission, which you can grant or revoke at any time in your device’s Settings app. Notification content is generated entirely on-device and is never sent to any server.

5. Ad Tracking & Personalization (ATT)

Texas Daily uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. On iOS 14 and later, Apple requires apps to ask your permission before accessing your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized advertising. When prompted:

• If you allow tracking: AdMob may use your IDFA to show you ads that are more relevant to your interests.
• If you decline: ads will still be shown, but they will not be personalized using your IDFA. This does not affect your use of the app.

You can change your tracking preference at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

6. Consent for Users in the EU, UK, and California

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, the App will present a consent form on first launch in accordance with GDPR and CCPA requirements. You may:

• Accept or decline personalized advertising
• Withdraw or update your consent at any time by contacting support@copanostudios.com

If you decline consent, non-personalized ads may still be shown. The app functions fully regardless of your consent choice.

7. In-App Purchases

Texas Daily offers a one-time "Remove Ads" purchase. All transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store and are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. Copano Studios does not receive or store any payment or billing information.

8. Third-Party Services

Texas Daily uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Google AdMob & Google UMP SDK — advertising and consent management: policies.google.com/privacy
• Apple App Store & StoreKit — in-app purchases: apple.com/legal/privacy

9. Children’s Privacy

Texas Daily is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. When changes are made, the Last Updated date above will be revised.
